Captain Brenda Bernot, Pennsylvania State Police
Captain Brenda Bernot enlisted in the Pennsylvania State Police in 1983 and has served in a variety of positions within the Department including patrol, criminal investigation, training, risk management, and staff services. She is currently the Troop Commander of Troop J which provides police service to Lancaster and Chester Counties and includes the following stations: Lancaster Headquarters, Ephrata Station, Embreeville Station, and Avondale Station.
She is a graduate of the Pennsylvania State University (1983), the FBI National Academy (2008), and is currently pursuing her master’s degree in Criminal Justice at Saint Joseph's University (anticipated date of graduation – August, 2011).
